Don't you just love a beautifully wrapped gift! Today must be the darkest, most miserablest day of the year so far, so I bring you some old fashioned Festive Cheer to brighten it up!
Well, it certainly brightened up mine! This is what I won earlier in the year and had totally forgotton about until it arrived in the post, from Callie at Merry and Magical. Check out her website for more Christmas loveliness!
My pack of goodies was 'New England Style', which is what I chose. Each item is exactly to my own taste, and I love everything from the tissue paper and string wrapping to the matching Christmas card, tag and paper.
We shall be putting up our decorations this weekend and these lovely cushioned tree decorations will be hung above the fireplace where they can be seen. It's no good looking for them on our tree as it gets so over-crowded you can't really see anything! We never stop at the minimal, arty stage ... we just keep piling it all on!
I seriously wasn't expecting such a generous bundle! Callie's own card to me is an American Folk Art style card. My house is full of this kind of thing which we brought back from Cape Cod and Vermont when we holidayed there a few years ago. I love all the muted, earthy tones of red, green and ochres. Not really one for too much glitzy, sparkly, tinselly stuff as you might guess!
Do you have a Christmas style? Scandinavian? Russian? Traditional English? Well, whatever your thing is, I hope yours is Sprinkled with Love too!
And especially yours, Callie!
